Dimitrios Papadimitriou graduated from the School of Dentistry of the University of Athens in 2006.
He specialized in Periodontology and Implant Surgery at the University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health, NY, USA, from 2008 to 2011.
The following year (2011–2012), he continued his training in Prosthetic Implantology at Harvard University, Boston, USA, as a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI Scholarship).
In 2012, he earned Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology.
Since 2012, he has served on a voluntary basis as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontology at the University of Rochester, NY, USA. His role includes continuously educating postgraduate students in modern surgical techniques and new protocols in Periodontology and Implantology through regular annual online seminars.
Regarding his scientific interests, he is a speaker at national and international conferences and has published scientific articles in highly regarded international and Greek journals, focusing on digital implant placement techniques and advanced hard and soft tissue regeneration methods.
In addition, he organizes educational seminars for dentists in Greece on Periodontology and Implantology, modern surgical techniques using piezoelectric devices, and first aid in dental practice.
He serves as President of the “Hellenic Society of Medical and Dental Digital Technology,” Treasurer of the “Hellenic Academy of Aesthetic and Facial Reconstruction,” and is a member of the “Hellenic Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.”
In his private practice, he focuses exclusively on Periodontology and Implantology.
Mr. Papadimitriou’s clinical interest centers on modern techniques for regenerating periodontal and peri-implant tissues, aiming either to preserve teeth affected by periodontal disease or to enable dental implant placement in areas where bone loss would otherwise prevent it.
He also specializes in periodontal plastic surgery techniques for the reconstruction of gum tissues in cases of gingival recession.
